Съвсем скоро YouTube и TikTok ще имат конкурент. Над създаването му работи съоснователят на DreamWorks и бивш шеф на Walt Disney Studios Джефри Катценберг съвместно с експрезидента на HP Мег Уитман.

Услугата се нарича Quibi. Достъпът до нея е само чрез мобилни приложения. Засега Quibi се предлага в App Store и Google Play по предварителна поръчка. Официалното стартиране на услугата е планирано за 6 април.

Quibi ще показва преимуществено авторски шоута и късометражни филми с продължителност до 10 минути. Авторите на проекта заявяват, че съдържанието ще има холивудско качество.

Услугата, разбира се, ще бъде платена. Цената стартира от 4,99 долара на месец.

Любопитно е, че Quibi се позиционира като конкурент на Instagram, YouTube и TikTok, а не Netflix, например. Това е така, тъй като е предназначен само за мобилни устройства.
