HTC планира да пусне през тази година само един флагман - HTC U12+. Това заяви неназован източник, който отбелязва още, че базова версия HTC U12 няма да има. Предвидено е обаче пускането на модел HTC U12 Life, който ще принадлежи към средния клас.
HTC U12+ по своите параметри ще се конкурира със Samsung Galaxy S9+, но цената му ще е на нивото на Galaxy S9.
Съгласно по-ранни слухове флагманският смартфон на HTC под кодовото име Imagine ще бъде пуснат в продажба именно като HTC U12+. Той ще получи 5,99-инчов Super LCD-дисплей с резолюция Quad HD+ (1440 х 2880 пиксела) и съотношение на страните 18:9, а също така две 8-мегапикселови селфи-камери, като при HTC U11 EYEs, и двойна основна камера – 16 + 12 MP. На задния панел ще има скенер на пръстови отпечатъци.
