Samsung представи официално новия си Exynos чипсет предназначен за смартфон флагмани. Exynos 9810 най-вероятно ще дебютира с Galaxy S серията смартфони. За производството му е използван второ поколение 10-nm FinFET процес, а чипсетът се състои от осемядрен процесор, съставен от четири високопроизводителни ядра и четири енергийно ефективни.
Четирите високопроизводителни ядра са с тактова честота до 2.9 GHz, постигайки два пъти по-висока производителност при едноядрени изчисления спрямо Exynos 8895. Новият процесор идва и със система за неврално машинно обучение и подобрена защита. Според Samsung, процесорът може да разпознава хора или предмети в снимки за по-бързо търсене и категоризиране. Той ще може също така да сканира лица в 3D, което ще доведе до използването на система за отключване с лице, подобно на Apple Face ID.
Exynos 9810 включва първия в бранша Cat.18 LTE модем, който поддържа до 6x CA (Carrier Aggregation) спрямо 5CA при предшественика му. Модемът може да достигне теоретични скорости на сваляне до 1.2Gbps и до 200 Mbps при качване.
Чипсетът идва и с отделен IPU (image processing unit) и обновен мултифроматен кодек (MFC). Това би трябвало да доведе до по-добра стабилизация при снимане на изображения и видео, както и намаляване на шума и размазванията при снимки в условията на ниска околна осветеност.
Exynos 9 Series 9810 вече е в масово производство, а компанията ще демонстрира продукта си по време на CES.
